Kids in bed, sitting down with the old DVR. 24 started 50 minutes ago.
Previously, on 24: Wow, forgot that Renee cut the guy’s hand off. She’s really not ready to be back in the field.
Is it me, or is Hassan’s hipster brother not a very credible leadership alternative in a Middle Eastern country?
Jurgen Prochnow, on the other hand, makes a VERY credible villain.
Well that was thoughtful of Renee to only cut off the poor Russian’s thumb instead of his whole hand. Hope he doesn’t need to hitchhike.
Not sure how this subplot with Starbuck is going to play out. She sure is being accommodating with her ex-con ex-boyfriend. Prediction: he’ll be involved with the assassination plot in some way, and/or will have a wider impact on CTU before this day is out.
I really hope the David Anders character works out. He was one of my favorite characters in both Alias and Heroes. Still waiting for Heroes to figure out how to bring his character back from the dead.
The Russian accents seem more realistic than the Middle Eastern ones.
Looks like Renee might be out for vengeance with the Russian guy. This could be good.
Wow, It’s a BSG reunion, the russian Vladimir is the cylon Leoben (Callum Keith Rennie)! Wonder if he and Starbuck will be in any scenes together.
Tension building at 8:55pm, what will Jack do? I predict Thumbless isn’t long for this world.
Prediction: correct! Wouldn’t have been surprised though if Renee bought it.
So, not a bad episode all in all. I’ve been a little iffy on this season. 24 has gotten predictable over the last few seasons, most of the time each episode follows the same formula such that there are few real surprises, not like the first season.
