As always, I’m liveblogging reaction to tonight’s episode in real time (for me). Spoilers after the jump.
Well, at least the cop that Dana’s ex attacked didn’t die. That’s a lot of karma for Dana to overcome.
Big surprise, the Kevin the ex is reneging on the deal.
FINALLY. Someone questions Dana’s suspicious phone calls when she should be working. At my job, we call this “grounds for termination,” and we have no state secrets to protect.
Why is Chloe covering for Dana?
Shouldn’t Sergei be keeping that apron on if they’re going to start torturing Jack?
Oh, silly Russian. Jack’s not going to succumb to a mere face slap.
Holes in Jack’s cover story are becoming apparent.
11:15 CTU Director Hastings on the phone with the White House. I like Mykelti Williamson, just not in this role. He doesn’t seem very convincing.
Farhad gets lippy with Sergei, and Josef shows him who’s really in charge.
Hastings ordered a full psyche evaluation on Renee. Gee, you think?
I can see where this is headed. ”Chloe, only you can help me escape CTU so I can go rescue Jack. No one else can/will do it.” or something like that.
Here it comes, will Dana come clean with her boyfriend Cole? Circumstances intervene before any admission. Isn’t it always that way?
The Russian torturer clearly didn’t know who he was dealing with.
11:30 President Hassan’s daughter storms in to confront her father. ”This is a matter of state. It doesn’t concern you.” this was perhaps not the most strategic time to reveal she was in love with the man he arrested.
Last thought through the Russian’s mind before the neck snapped, “I KNEW he wasn’t a German businessman!”
I think I’ve seen this movie before. Someone’s going to shoot the glass.
Don’t look for a phone, find some shoes!
Sergei doesn’t have the best security team if he’s the one doing all the shooting. Pretty cool though. But where’s Josef?
11:41 Hastings notices Dana is missing again. Suspicious co-worker relays lame cover story.
Get the Attorney General on the line with the standard full immunity boilerplate! Sergei has important info and has us over a barrel.
Looks like trouble in paradise for Dana and Cole. Also, misuse of government resources in tasking the analyst to track down Dana.
All that’s missing from the nervous young CTU agent entering the elevator is the red shirt.
11:54 Dead Russians with an extra hole in the head, and no fuel rods. Dead Oleg’s chain left at the scene, so this is where Josef’s been. Josef making a play to complete the deal with Farhad, “Have my money ready.”
