Not long ago came word that Better Off Ted co-star Andrea Anders had been cast in a new pilot, possibly signalling the end of the not-yet-cancelled series. Now, according to Variety, titular star Jay Harrington has also been cast in a new pilot:
Here’s usually a pretty good indicator that a bubble show isn’t likely to come back: Its star goes ahead and books a new pilot.
That’s the case with “Better Off Ted” star Jay Harrington, who has been cast in the lead of NBC’s comedy pilot “Nathan vs. Nurture.”
I really wish that ABC would have done a better job supporting Better Off Ted. Modern Family would have been a great lead-in to BOT, now that that show has taken off. Still crossing my fingers for a last minute intervention, but not really that hopeful.
